BMS for Electric car 144V thundersky Lithium battery LVC feature test Part 2
One of the features of the BMS is to protect the battery from having cells drained too low. To do that, there is a part called LVC ( Low Voltage Cut off) ON that setup, it is set to 2.1V so the BMS have to cut the throttle signal to the controller using a trigger output that will close if one or more cell reach 2.1V. The choice for 2.1V instead of 2.5 or 2.7V is because the battery pack cold be used during cold weater and the battery voltage sag is more important on cold conditions. To test this feature the load is a 120V 40W light bulb and the controller and throttle was replaced by a circuit using a mosfet that conduct or not the output current to the lightbulb. as soon as the voltage of any cells reach as low as 2.1V the mosfet stop conducting and fut the current.

hallo doctorbass,du bist interessant.wann gibts denn endlich was neues von dir????
viele grüße

@creamyfilling102 Ahhh.. Yes… i”m doing my best in english so….Be comprehensive! =)
do i detect a bit of french canadian?
@unnefer1978 you can put up to 100 cells no prob. you will just need to upgrade the mosfet voltage rating that throttle the charger current input.
@unnefer1978 the website of tppacks in the section ebikes
@unnefer1978 The present BMS have a LED that glow when the corresponding shunt is activated ( cell meet the Constant voltage mode of 3.7V)
A great amazing new and cheap tool to monitor cells voltage os the CELLLOG 8,a little RC LCD device that display everything and also have a programmable alarm and active output. each of these cost around 15 to 30$ and monitor up to 8s. you can find some at hobbycity website
@unnefer1978 lol, I also forgot, will you have a BMS that will support more than 40 cells? I’m wanting to go with 75 cells and need a BMS for 75 cells.
@unnefer1978 And where can I buy it?
Does your BMS have LCD output for visual monitoring and management?
He is always doing something!!! Always inventing!!! Le Meillur!
what are up to now
