Energy from the Wind – Wind Turbines
I am fascinated by those beautiful, effective and environmentally sound modern wind turbines. This is the Repower MM92, rated power: 2000kW, rotor diameter: 92.5m, hub height: 100m. See also the record breaking 6MW E-126 from ENERCON www.youtube.com

Comments on Energy from the Wind – Wind Turbines
Stood under one of these monsters in Ireland recently, had my flip camera ready and took some cool vids. Amazing just to see the size of the blades….uploading today hopefully …by the way, nice vid !
I prefer nuclear power but those are nice too
denmark has stopped subsidizing wind turbines because they don’t do nearly enough for the money they’ve put in them. denmark has to use their standard power plants at peak times because of that- I think they even ended up buying electricity from other countries and selling the extra electricity from the turbines at peak times to offset the loss
@xeniacolours YOUTUBE: helix wind self-destruct
Hamburg !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@theholycows right but not as much bads
@DziaDziainGR I could provide some footage for download from my website. Please contact me. info@bild-art.de
Where can we get footage of this to use in a video promoting wind energy? Thank you. Denny Beck, Corporate PR Services, Grand Rapids, MI
The Wind is free….Converting it to electric is expensive. With over 100.000 turbines on line we still wait for the first coal generator to be closed. Billions spent with little in return.
I invented a breakthrough energy source which violates the law of energy conservation. I have a PROOF that there are electrodynamic phenomena which violate the law of conservation of energy. I am looking for $30 000 fora prototype and for $3M for patents. Making a 15 kW generator will cost $1200 in mass production, value of the energy produced yearly about $10 000.

Birds do die because of wind turbines, but not that many. The benefits far outweigh the cons.
Wind power is a joke, but who gives a fuck about birds anyway. The are however load as shit.
Oh yeah they’re just so loud! People need to quit complaining about them.
@kitfoxflyer I do not have a problem with a windfarm provided it is built where there is ALWAYS wind because if there is the slightest chance that no wind conditions may occur, then one needs a backup system based either on coal or nuclear and that is making the overall cost extremely expense – too expensive for the current economic problems in most countries.
PPD Power Co. :playtime public diversion.
a waste of time and effort employing next to nobody and generating a fraction of the power generated by ANY OTHER source you can name….a land grab by any other name is thievery.
your not smart
GE used to own NBC, not CNN. And GE is working to sell NBC to Comcast.
all the places I’ve seen wind farms are in agricultural farms. so there’s no trees anyway.
that’s with most new technology. In the 70’s computers were an expensive joke for academics to play with. Today they run our lives. Those prices came down with numerous grants, research and economies of scale due to gradual adoption.
Just because wind power isn’t “the answer” right now, should not mean we should just give it up. That’s called halting progress.
Nice
i dpnt understand why people find these so unsightly
Yeah a WHOPPING 283mw tonight, the coldest spell for 50 years. FAIL.
wind turbines = jetsons
fossil fuels = flintstones
Ya, I suppose you’re right. Let’s just not try to fix the problem of fossil fuel use at all. Solar energy is a joke even though nearly all the high energy bonds formed within fossil fuels originated from solar energy. I apologize. Just what was I thinking?
And you are going to look really stupid when every square inch of the planet is covered in solar panels and windmills and we still don’t have enough energy.
Nothing can be manufactured with nothing !.
Go a the jungle & live there !.
But don’t “Poop” it will pollute air !.
