Wind Speed Test – VAWT

1

In this video, I show the low wind speed that moves our Vertical Axle Wind Turbine (VAWT) at a consistent rate despite the variable gusts of wind from 4mph to 12mph. Our turbine, the Strand Windjammer, accepts almost any speed of wind from any angle. Please Subscribe to our channel to see updates. Soon we will have an electronic petition that you can sign to send a clear message to Toronto’s Mayor asking him to adopt the wind turbine for a pilot project and fast-track regulation to allow these silent, vibration-free turbines on high rise roof tops. A string of these, linked together (not unlike solar panels) can give energy independence to each building they sit upon, using a much smaller footprint to produce the same amount of electricity for less cost than solar panels.

Looks really great. Like it a lot. How many turns par minute at a given wind? I guess it is low but your torque must be high. Did you measure the torque? How much weight it can lift in a given time?
