I think you have it backwards, the “tail” is actually facing the wind and turns the blades sideways if the wind gets to strong. I may be wrong?

weve got one of those up the road me and my freind werer walking back in the dark and kept thinking there were vecheals coming and it was a little wind turbine it sounded like a motor bike exatly the same design as that one

How is that built, or this this a manufactured product?

Our office is powering by Whisper turbine Need to say: wind is difficult energy, even strong wind will not produce enough energy to supply ALL our demands, we USED TO have. The fact is that people now consume TOO MUCH energy. Example: Home windturbine will work all night at good wind to supply you with energy, that will be consumed by coffee machine, to boil and warm coffee for some hours! WE NEED TO SAVE ENERGY ALSO!
Saving even 20%, we JUST now achieve the goal to have 20% gr. en. by 2020!

I also like how it takes a rest every minute or so by turning completely sideways to the wind.

I like how it stays nice and stable, always pointed into the wind.
